Highly versatile, Shingles and Shakes are suited to numerous structures, including garden gazebos, domestic dwellings and big theme parks. While both serve similar purposes, their production methods are not the same. Shingles are crafted by sawing a wooden block on both sides, resulting in a relatively smooth front and back surface. In contrast, Shakes are meticulously hand-split from cedar blocks along the wood's natural grain before being resawn for a uniform, smooth surface.
