Find out moreEurodec's high-strength 50mm Flat Concrete Coping Stone is ideal for creating a decorative finish to the top of your parapet or garden wall and acting as excellent protection from rainwater penetration. Featuring two 10mm wide drip grooves underneath, positioned 20mm from either side of the stone, it will help shield your wall from water damage and potential staining by allowing rainwater to drop to the floor.
The corners have a slightly tapered finish because of how the coping stones are removed from their mould. Each corner is tapered no more than 10mm due to being handmade and is subject to the manufacturer's tolerances.
This Eurodec coping stone is made to order and resistant to UV in typical climate conditions. Thanks to its UV resistance, the colour will not fade in sunlight. As it is manufactured from natural, quarried materials, there will be variations in colour in different batches. It's also worth noting that the true finish will not be revealed until a period of exposure to sunlight and some weathering.

Question:
1. does flat mean that this coping stone has no slope - I want to put a glass balustrade on top of it, so there can be no slope. 2. The glass balustrade is fitted via an aluminium track - so I need to secure this to the coping stone - can the stones be drilled through without fear of them cracking - I need to drill around 70 holes along the length of the parapet wall for this?
Answer:
1. Yes, the term "flat" in the product name of the Eurodec 50mm Flat Concrete Coping Stone 600mm x 400mm - Grey does indeed indicate that the coping stone has no slope. It should provide a level surface for you to install your glass balustrade.
2. As for drilling holes in the coping stones, while they are made of sturdy concrete, we always recommend proceeding with caution when it comes to drilling or modifying our products. The concrete should be able to withstand drilling, but to prevent any potential damage or cracking, it's important to use a suitable masonry drill bit and to not drill too close to the edges of the stone. However, we would advise consulting with a professional installer to ensure the best and safest installation.
Question:
Can the coping stones be drilled?
Answer:
Yes, but we advise upgrading the stones with the balistrade fixing so it has that extra reinforcement.
Question:
Can I use this for an extension parapet wall ?
Answer:
This coping stone is suitable and recommended for parapet walls, offering both protection and a clean finish.
Question:
My wall is 240mm wide. Would the 280mm wide coping stone fit, or would I need the 300mm to allow for the drip groove?
Answer:
It would be the 300mm, as you need to have a minimum 30mm overhang on each side.
Question:
Is this product twice weathered? What is the difference between twice weathered and once weathered?
Answer:
This is a flat coping stone.
A twice-weathered coping stone measures 50 mm at both edges, rising to 75 mm at the centre, creating two sloping faces.
A once-weathered coping stone measures 50 mm on one edge and rises to 75 mm on the opposite side, creating a single slope.
